Privacy Policy

Pitwall has no accounts, no servers of ours, and no analytics. What you do in the app stays on your phone. The app does fetch public sport data over the internet, and it asks Apple's payment system whether you have bought the optional upgrade. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what that involves.

Information We Collect

None. Pitwall has no sign-up, no login, and no analytics. We operate no server that receives anything about you, and nothing you do in the app is reported back to us.

No Account Required

Pitwall works without registration. We never ask for your email address, name, phone number, or any other contact details.

Your Data Stays on Your Device

Your favourite driver and team, your picks, your lesson progress, your alert settings and the sessions the app archives are stored in a database on your phone. We keep no copy and have no way to reach it. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Requests the App Makes

To show the calendar, standings, results, live timing and news, your phone requests them directly from public motorsport data sources and news publishers. Those hosts see the request and the network address it came from, exactly as they would if you opened the same page in a browser. We do not run them, we receive nothing from them, and no identifier of ours travels with the request. Pitwall also asks Expo, the update service for the app, on launch whether a newer version of its code exists.

Purchases

The optional Pitwall Pro upgrade is a one-off purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. To tell whether the upgrade has been bought, the app uses RevenueCat, which records the purchase and a device identifier that is not linked to your identity. It is used for nothing else.

Analytics and Tracking

There are none. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no cookies, no crash reporting, no third-party tracking of any kind.

App Store

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect its own information in line with Apple's privacy policy; this is outside our control and is not shared with us.

Children's Privacy

Because we collect no data from anyone, we collect none from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date.
